It may come as a surprise to some of my loyal readers that I am a compulsive sock knitter. For every knitting project there must be (n+1) sock projects. I just completed a pair of socks that I started knitting in February. The yarn is Professor Lupin yarn from the Harry Potter series of sock yarn put out by Opal, which Nancy bought me for Christmas. I think it took me so long to finish the socks because I decided to do cables. I like how cables look, but I get annoyed when I have to knit them. Sigh. Anyway, I am pleased at how they turned out and they fit my feet perfectly!
On Wednesday I had a small surgery, a biopsy of two lymph nodes in my left breast a

rea. The reason for the biopsy is to see if I have a lymph disease or not. For the surgery itself I was under general anesthesia, so I remember nothing until waking up. The anesthesiologist gave me some narcotic just before waking up, so I was either very groggy or sleeping for the whole rest of the day. The first few days afterward I had a fair amount of pain, but thankfully Dorian was a fantastic helper, so I mostly just sat on my butt. Yesterday I took off my bandages and was surprised to find that I have no stitches. Is there super glue in that cut? Today I haven't taken any pain pills and I feel pretty good. The picture was taken this morning. The incision is about 3 inches long.
